Saturday May 30, 2009 - Mt. Wilson Observatory:

The new members of Sci-Vi team had guided tour of the observatory by Mt. Wilson Observatory Association President and Cal State LA Physics alumnus Tim Thompson. He explained construction and operation of historic 150 foot solar telescope and of 60 inch and 100 inch telescopes, the later of whom plays prominent role in current SciVi animation projects. Mt. Wilson Observatory is rich in scientific history, as it continues to be used today for further exploration of the universe.
